Two summers ago I went to a fermentation workshop at Blooming Glen Farm. I really enjoyed the workshop and learned a ton. I left feeling inspired and determined to eat only fermented veg from then on. But I ended up killing everything I tried! The most important thing I learned that night was to use the swing-top, Fido brand jars for everything.

Tuesday, January 27, 2009. I have finished two tops this month! Neither one is quilted yet, but it still feels good. The first one is the string quilt you saw as a WIP. I am very pleased with how this turned out. I even used fabric from my stash for the sashing and corner blocks.
